Review: The Key

First of all, I don’t think Mr. Strieber was visited by some mysterious being.  I think Mr. Strieber cares deeply about these ideas, has thought about them a great deal, has studied and pondered, and he has reached some conclusions.  And he has chosen to present his conclusions in a question and answer format, sort of like Socratic Questioning.  The little guy was only there stylistically.  Also, I have to say, I can’t help but be skeptical when people talk about being abducted by aliens.

That being said, Mr. Strieber made lots of good points.  It seems like he draws a lot from Buddhism and various other school of philosophy and spiritualism.  He calls attention to what we’re doing, and what we should be doing, but he really doesn’t offer anything new.

However, I think once in a while too.  One day I was thinking about physics, specifically energy, about how energy can’t be created or destroyed, only change form.  I don’t recall why I was thinking it that at that particular time, I just was.  Sometime later I learned that our brains operate with some kind electro-chemical energy.  OK then, what form does brain energy turn into when the meat suit is shed?

I have no idea, but some folks believe this energy is the soul.  And, if one prepares properly, this energy can stay intact when it leaves the material body, as a form of consciousness.  If the praying, chanting, meditating, etc. is not done, or performed improperly, the energy simply returns to the source to be recycled.  Please keep this in mind for a moment while I touch on something else.

You Tube is my favorite web-site.  I can always find something that helps me while away the hours.  And you know how You Tube works, click on one site, and it connects you to dozens of similar sites.  One day I clicked on “oldest civilization”, and I got Sumer.  Sumerian civilization is very interesting, and I would recommend looking into it for anyone.  According to records the ancient Sumerians left behind, extra-terrestrials got their civilization started.  It’s an interesting story, look it up.  According to who you ask, these extra-terrestrials are either angels, or alien overlords.

What if conscious energy could remain intact?  Could entities of pure energy, or consciousness, exist along side of the material world?   Could these be the folks who kicked off the Sumerian Civilization?   And maybe, ‘alien abduction’ is only a conscious being trying to communicate with a material being.

I’ll have to die to find out.
